Description in the Javanese wayang retellings: He was the patih of Mandura, during the reign of Basudewa. He was wise and he was an expert in strategic offense formations. His sons Pragota and [Prabawa] would later serve in the court of Baladewa. He died at the same time as Basudewa, when he was attacked by Bomanarakasura.

Notes on the Indian retellings: Not mentioned in the Indian Mahabharata.
