Description in the Javanese wayang retellings: A God responsible for the safety of the heavens. The name Citrasena can also refer to [Wicitrawirya] and to a gandarwa from the Kamiyaka forest angered by a feast thrown by the Korawa who captures Duryudana. Sengkuni asks the Pandawa for help and Werkudara kills him.

Notes on the Indian retellings: Chitrasena is a gandharva who is cursed by Lord Krishna when he accidentally desecrates the oblations that a sage was making to the Sun God. He is saved by Arjuna in the end.
