Description in the Javanese wayang retellings: One of the five Pandawa. Known for his heroic feats and his many wives. He appears in many different lakons (stories). His death is narrated in the Maha Prastanika Parwa. He departed from his earthly life and entered heaven. He is in reality a descendant of Batara Indra, and is thus also known as Indratenaya.

Notes on the Indian retellings: Known as Partha, Phalguna and Vijaya. He is the son of Lord Indra and Kunti and foster son of King Pandu.
